Jennifer Trice (8th grade English) has been a member of the Smith staff since 2002. She received
her Bachelor of Science in Education with focus in English and science in 2002 from Western
Michigan University. In 2009, Mrs. Trice earned her Master of Educational Studies degree from Oakland University. She continues to coordinate the portfolio program and Eighth Grade APT to Succeed Interview Process for Smith.
Mrs. Trice has also been involved in several after-school programs throughout the years, including
the Middle School High School Mentoring Program and Homework Help. In addition, Mrs. Trice was a department head as co-chair of the English Department, a member of the Positive Behavior
Support Committee, and a member of both the Michigan Council and National Council of
Teachers of English.
On a more personal note, Mrs. Trice enjoys spending time with her husband, Scott, also a
teacher, and son, Jackson, currently a first-grader. Her favorite activities include traveling, watching sports and movies, reading, and walking her dog, Max.
