IM Volleyball
Welcome to I.M. Volleyball! 
Smith Middle School Intramural Girls Volleyball is a great way to get involved in our school community outside of the classroom. Lets play some volleyball, meet new friends, and of course have some fun!! See attached schedule for information on dates and times.
**NEW 2.15** Lots of volleyball and fun in the 'K'astle (our gym)! We will meet again Wednesday, February 16 in the morning. Please note that this is the last meeting this week! We will reschedule snow dates for Friday, February 25th and Tuesday, March 2nd after school. The girls would also like to show off their skills and take on a group of parents. If anyone (mom/dad/uncle/aunt) is interested in being a part of the parent team for a game after school March 2nd please send me an email. Game time 3:30-4:30ish.
**NEW 2.9** We are in full swing having 3 gatherings already! We will meet again Thursday, Feb. 10 after school till 4:15 and Friday, Feb. 11 in the morning.
** NEW 2.4** Due to the inclement weather that cancelled our Tuesday Feb. 2nd and Thursday Feb. 3rd practices we will plan to reschedule those dates.
**2.1** I.M. Volleyball meeting today after school till 3:45! If you cannot attend stop by room 6 to pick up schedule. See everyone Wednesday morning with their tennis shoes in the gym (7:00-8:00 am). Below is our IM Volleyball Calendar, Intramural Permission Slip and link to Final Forms for pay to participate.
**NEW 1.26.22** I.M. Volleyball will have their first meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 1st in room 6 after school till 3:45. We will pass out our schedule (see link below) and other information at this time. Our first day in the gym will be Wednesday, Feb. 2!
**NEW 1.4.22** I.M. Volleyball will be starting the 1st week of February! Please keep your eyes and ears open to this page as well as announcements as we finalize our meeting dates!

**NEW 1.29.20**
It's almost here! We will have our first IM Volleyball gathering on Tuesday, February 11th after school in room 6. We will distribute our planned schedule for IM volleyball dates as well as a IM permission slip that needs to be signed and returned before our next meeting. We will also discuss pay to participate information that needs to be completed. Please see links below.
Following the meeting we will go down to the 'K'astle (our gym) to watch our Smith Knights Volleyball team compete against Hart to learn a little about the game. Please make sure rides are ready for pick up by 4:30 on this day. See below for Calendar (please note that even the best plans have changes :)
**1.29.19** I.M. Volleyball 1st date is February 11th after school till 4:15. We will be handing out intramural permission slips as well as our schedule of meeting dates and answering any questions student/athletes may have. The girls may stay later as we will be going down to our gym (The 'K'astle) to watch our 7th grade team compete against Larson so they have an idea of what it looks like :) ...
Intramural Volleyball is an opportunity for 6th grade girls here at Smith to get together with friends and learn some of the fundamentals and basics of volleyball. I.M. Volleyball is a 'non-cut' sport meaning anyone who wants to can join and play. To be a part of I.M. Volleyball all you have to do is complete a permission slip (see below) and meet the 'pay to participate' obligation (Troy School District 'Pay to Particpate' information). Permission slips can be turned in to me any time before our first practice.
Please note that we have morning (starting around 7ish) and afternoon practices (ending around 4ish) for 1 hour. Student/athletes are allowed to stay later when we have afternoon practices if they want to work on a part of their game.
2018
** We had 50 participate this year. We had loads of fun and the student/athletes all got a bit better! Good luck next season on the 7th grade team!
2017 ~ We had over 50 signed up and ready to go this season. All had fun!
2016 ~ What a great intramural volleyball season! Nearly 60 girls participated over this past month and all had fun and improved their skills! Check out some pictures on the Smith Website! Good luck next year girls!
2016 ~ A wonderful season of I.M. Volleyball concluded with some competitive games! We have over 60 participate in the fun! Good luck with 7th grade team next year.
2015 ~ Completed the I.M. season of volleyball with a round robin tournament. All the girls had fun. Best of luck as you tryout for 7th grade team next year (all 50 of you!).
