**NEW 5.20** Your Knights defeated a depleted Larson team yesterday. 8th boys won 109-19. Below is announcement link.
NEW 5.18** Great meet vs Hart MS. Our boys competed well vs a school almost twice our size! Below is announcement. Remember we are at home Thursday vs Larson as we start our quest for a city championship!
**NEW 5.12** The boys are off to a great start this season! There are many personal bests being set with a few athletes chasing some school records! Here is our Reuther announcement.
NEW 5.2* Our 1st track meet is Tuesday, 5.2 here at Smith vs Rochester West. Come on out and support our Knights! A special reminder that we are away on Thursday in our meet vs Rochster Van Hoosen and that there are NO district busses to transport us. Your child will need a ride right after school to the meet (and get picked up after).
NEW 4.26** We have had a great start to the track season with over 100 student athletes out last week. We want to remind everyone to let one of your coaches know if you cannot make it to practice. NO TRACK PRACTICE THURSDAY the 28th (1/2 day).
**NEW 4.18** Due to inclement weather there is no track practice today! Please note that a picture envelope was sent home last week if you choose to order a track picture. Orders can be done online (see flyer sent home for information). Track Pictures are Tuesday at 3:15!
**NEW 4.14** Track has started! If you are interested in joining track it is not to late, come on out Monday and join us! We have over 100 student/athletes this season enjoying the sport! Here is a short video...It_s_coming_15.mp4
**NEW 4.12** Track Season is HERE! Our first practice will be Wednesday, April 13 after school till 4:15. Please make sure you have been to FINAL FORMS and entered information as well as a physical and made the pay to participate payment (if needed). Remember the 3rd sport is FREE! It_s_coming_8.mp4
Smith Middle School Track is a great way to get involved in our school community outside of the classroom. It is a very unique sport in that it has 16 different events! All 7th and 8th graders are welcome to join. We field separate boys and girls teams. Lets do some running, meet new friends, and of course have some fun in the sun!
Smith Knights Track competes against the Rochester, West Bloomfield and Troy middle schools. We also have a 'City Meet' where our 'City Champions' are crowned. Our season concludes by participating in the most prestigious and largest middle school track meet in the nation - The Oakland County Track and Field Championship! The county meet has 40 middle schools send their best male and female student/athletes to compete to be 'County Champions'. This event draws over 1000 student/athletes and nearly 4,000 spectators! This is quite the event!
Please note that if you are doing another spring activity we are flexible and can create a 'personalized' schedule for those individuals so they may still participate on the Knights Track Team. Here is our introductory announcement :) 2021PreasonsTrackAnnouncement.mp4
